Why can’t I add items to my shopping cart?
Should I use Auto or True color?
There is a cropping tool in the shopping cart. Do I need to do anything with it?
What type of paper should I select?
Do you have any sort of satisfaction guarantee?
My question was not answered here. Now what?
You may notice the name SmugMug when you add items to your shopping cart and when checking out. SmugMug is the name of the company that manages, prints, and ships your order. They specialize in what they do best, making sure your order goes smoothly and your prints are of the highest quality, so that artists can do what they do best, create art.
In order to add items to your shopping cart, you must have cookies enabled in your web browser. Cookies are small & safe files that sites like Amazon use to remember your preferences. They must be enabled for your shopping cart to work.
If you are using Internet Explorer, choose the ‘Tools’ menu item, then ‘Internet Options.’ A small window will display. Select the ‘Privacy’ tab. Make sure the privacy slider isn't all the way up. Once you have enabled cookies and clicked the OK button, close Internet Explorer and open it again.
If you're using Safari, go to Safari > Preferences. Under the ‘Security’ tab, make sure you have selected ‘Accept Cookies: Always.’
If Firefox is your browser, you can go to Tools > Options > Cookies and select ‘Allow sites to set Cookies.’
When checking out, you will see the option of having your prints printed in True or Auto color. True and Auto color are different ways of processing an image when it is sent to the printer. In most cases, Auto color produces the superior print; however, there are times when True color yields a better result.
Studio VoxPop has already determined which prints should be printed in Auto color and which should be printed in True color. Therefore, you should leave this option alone and use whatever has been pre-selected for the photos you wish to order. In almost all cases, this will be Auto color.
If you are ordering a Photographic Art print, only certain print sizes are available and you can simply ignore the crop tool.
If you are purchasing a portrait print from a personal portrait gallery, you will have more print sizes to choose. However, some of these print sizes will require you to use the crop tool in order to crop the photo into the proper size. If you have any questions about this process or if you cannot find an acceptable crop, contact Justin.
When you purchase prints, you have the option of selecting Matte, Glossy, or Lustre prints.
Matte prints provide no sheen and colors on matte prints often look flat. However, Matte prints offer good fingerprint resistance.
Glossy prints provide a sheen which allows for greater color saturation but that sheen does not resist fingerprints and can cause a glare when the photo is viewed at certain angles.
Lustre offers the best of both worlds, providing a print that has excellent color saturation but with more fingerprint resistance and much less glare than a Glossy print.
Studio VoxPop suggests you purchase your photos using Lustre or Glossy prints.
When you order your prints, you will have various shipping options to meet your needs. These options include United States Postal Service (USPS) 1st Class Mail, USPS Priority Mail, FedEx 3 day, FedEx 2nd and FedEx Next Business Day service.
International shipping is also available through the shopping cart.
Free full sized and web sized downloads are included with all Portrait Sittings. You will receive instructions on how to download images as soon as your personal gallery is ready.
Downloading Photographic Art images is also available. In your shopping cart, select Digital Downloads instead of Standard Prints. There are two types of downloads available, Personal Downloads (P) and Commercial Downloads (C). Personal Downloads allow you to use the photos for, well, personal use. Use them as desktop wallpaper or print them on your own computer. Commercial Downloads are for use in commercial publications such as brochures and advertising.Details of each license agreement will appear when you select Digital Downloads and you must accept the terms of the agreement before downloading photos.
There are various download sizes available:
A 1Mpix image is roughly 1 megapixel in size, which means a square 1 megapixel image would be about 1000 pixels wide and 1000 pixels high. For comparison, the most common resolution for computer monitors is 1024x768. So, a 1Mpix image is a bit larger than common monitor resolutions.
A 4Mpix image is 4 megapixels. This is a size that allows for quality printing at most reasonable sizes. If you want to print at really large poster sizes, you would probably want a larger image.
An Original image is the exact image file that Studio VoxPop has put online.
Watermarks will NOT appear on Digital Downloads.
